Natalia Brilli’s S/S accessories 09 collection … i covet. i covet. these everyday items – from headphones to a skateboard to a rolex watch – look as though dipped in a vat of black, glossy leather. look closer and you’ll see sunglasses embossed on the outside of a sunglass case, a wallet with credit cards and coins moulded on the front, a laptop case with a keyboard moulded onto the cover.

step into the world of paris based, belgian designer Natalia Brilli who launched her own line of accessories for men and women in 2004. Former head accessories designer at Rochas, Brilli brings Victorian drama with large doses of elegance and whimsy by wrapping everything in the finest lambskin.

As part of her S/S 09 collection, she created a 3 skeleton rock band with a drum set, guitar, amp and mic all leather clad. Each skeleton took 500 hours to cover and required 70 skins to cover the whole installation. The band kicked off its tour around the world  in October at Paris Fashion Week where it played a silent gig at Parisian store Maria Luisa. From there, the band flew to Miami for Art Basel and continued to Barney’s, New York in January, Copenhagen Fashion Week in February. They’re off to Vienna in March, Montreal in April, Hong Kong in May then Singapore and Sydney. Jeez. talk about back from the dead.
