This post is dedicated to all my fellow victims of FRIZZ…

For the most part I like my hair. I don’t have “bad” gnarly out of control frizzy hair- BUT let me tell you… I am a victim nonetheless when it comes to the elements. Once my perfect hair-do makes it outdoors all bets are off.  If it rains or if there’s just a little humidity my ends start to kink, that annoying piece if hair by my face starts to wiggle and the FRIZZ takes hold all around – especially on the top of my head like I’ve been holding a balloon over it all day.

 That being said, in my lifetime I’ve tried a sloo of hair-solutions to combat this. Since I wear my hair two ways (straight and wavy) I always tried to settle on a product that allowed me to tame both beasts.  Most recently I was using BioSilk Silk Therapy and Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream and throughout the day I would spritz a little Matrix Color Smart Reflective Shine Spray to calm those midday fly-aways.

Although I’ve been happy with these products, at the end of the day my hair felt a little dirty (especially after a day or two).  Knowing this would happen, I was reluctant to apply theses products to my roots in fear of a greasy top-head or a frizz-bomb with sleek ends (there’s only so much baby powder you can sprinkle on).  Long story short- for a girl on the go, that’s not gonna cut it!

 So naturally, when I stumbled across Living Proof No Frizz, I was in love! It’s packaging is sleek and compact and has a velvety soft texture. Not some giant monstrosity made to fool you with sparkles and cheeky names. They get right down to business and the description on the front speaks for itself.

 This revolutionary product was engineered by an MIT professor, who approached the anti-frizz movement “from a physics standpoint”. Rather than the standard silicone-based ingredients, he used completely new molecular technology to create this amazing collection of humidity-resistant formulas for all hair types…and he called it LIVING PROOF.

Well, I dove right into it. Broke my hair rule and applied living proof (I used about a “quarter and a half”) around my roots, throughout my hair and combed evenly throughout. I blow-dried my hair with my fingers (as usual) and already noticed a difference… I could have stopped there, but continuing in my routine, I proceeded to straighten my hair with my favorite flat-iron (the HAI) and the results were amazing!  My hair felt soft, silky-smooth and ready for anything (especially the 80% rain predicted for that night). 

Throughout the day and night my hair held up and there was a point where I was literally walking in the mist with no umbrella. I’m not saying there was no hint if frizz, but compared to the people I was with… I just stepped out of a salon (no offense girls!!!).  I also noticed that the next morning my hair almost looked better.  Not oily or tarnished at all!
