Hello all you beautycallers!

My name is Anne and I’m VP of Operations & Client Services at Badger & Partners. Since the ripe old age of about 13, I’ve had an obsession with all things beauty. Growing up in rural Wisconsin, I didn’t have much access to the latest and greatest department store products…but you can bet your bootie I bought every Teen and Seventeen magazine and scoured the pages for inspiration and looks, then hit up our local Wal-Mart weekly for the newest eyeliners, shadows, mascaras, polish and lip gloss…I also “borrowed” a ton of products from my mom, who was a Mary Kay rep.

My beauty regimen has evolved some since my junior high days of electric blue liquid eyeliner and lilac eye shadow…but I am still obsessed…

I stand by many important beauty rules that I’ve learned over the years:

  1. Never cover up clear, healthy skin with lots of foundation (or any foundation for that matter!)
  2. Always play up your favorite features
  3. If Allure says black eyeliner is OUT but you still love it, KEEP RIGHT ON ROCKIN’ IT GIRL!
  4. Mamma knows best – one of my first makeup lessons: “You can never wear too much mascara.”
  5. A toothbrush really is the most amazing beauty tool ever – use it to shape your brows and to separate your lashes post-mascara – get one for your makeup bag TODAY, I promise you’ll thank me later!

These days my beauty look is all about classic, earthy tones, nudes and naturals, and always playing up the eyes.

 My regimen…

 1.  Shadow
Maybelline’s matte shadow in Champage Fizz is my canvas – I use it over the entire lid to prep. Right now I’m loving Dior’s eyeshadow kit in Incognito – I can change the colors up day to day but still stay in my safe natural zone. When I’m going out on the town I use L’Oréal Wear Infinité in Raven to create a smoky eye – apply a “V” in the corner and blend well.

 2.  Lash Prep
Curl each lash 2-3 times pre-mascara, (then again once post mascara if needed).

 3.  Eyeliner
I have tried lots and lots, but have been devoted to Origins for the last few years. Love the consistency – not too hard, not too soft. Line the top and bottom as close to lash line as possible, “V” from outer corners in. Use a damp Q-tip to create a thin line.

 4.  Mascara!!
Trish McEvoy Lash Curling Mascara is, in my opinion, the most amazing mascara ever!! It makes my lashes long and luscious, and no smudges, ever. Goes on like butta. Comes off like a dream with water.

 5.  Conceal
Clinique’s Quick Corrector concealer is like an old friend – I use it on my undereye area and over any problem areas. Lately I’ve been using it on my lips to create a nude matte effect and prep my lips for gloss.

 6.  Bronze (summer only)
Just a dab’ll do ya. Kabooki!

 7.  Powder
Finish off the look with a dusting of powder.

 8.   Gloss!!!
I have about 10 tubes of gloss in my purse on any given day but the ones I always find myself reaching for are my mark. hook ups and Sephora Ultra-Shine. Neutral and luscious, love it!!

**Use toothbrush on brows and lashes as needed throughout!!

XOXO!!!
