Fall Hair Trends 2009

Here at beautylab, we believe a true trend is one that’s here today and gone tomorrow: slap bracelets, manties, boot cut jeans, Timberlands, square-toed shoes.  A trend that appears year after year is no longer a trend, but a staple of our style lexicon: Chuck Taylors, the leather bomber jacket, Ray Bans.

When it comes to trends in hair it seems that season after season we’re offered the same old, same old – beach waves, pixie cuts, a fancy ponytail.  But these styles, trends circa 2001, are now year-round, ho-hum staples for all of Hollywood and most preteens.  A true hair trend is brand new.  It requires one to develop complicated skills, purchase strange products and push the limits (of gravity, dignity, imagination) – but only for a season.

Taking those factors into account, for Fall ’09 we ephemerally present:

-

1. The Lion ‘Fro

Rock this disheveled up-do with flawless skin and a dramatic eye when you need to appear much more mysterious.
